I moved to New York in 2011 to attend Marymount Manhattan College where I majored in communication arts and double minored in business management and studio arts.
Before running off to New York I grew up in Orange County, Ca. My creative side blossomed at a very young age and according to my mom I started drawing cartoon characters as soon as I could hold a pencil. I was fascinated with every sort of artistic medium I could get my hands on and also found a love for musical theater. I had the biggest imagination as a kid and being apart of a local theater group was my new home away from home. From 7th-12th grade I attended Orange County High School of the Arts for Musical Theater/Acting.
Fast forward to 2011, I was ready to move to New York and dive into a new field of study with my education. My love for acting will always have a strong place in my heart though. Some of my fondest memories are those years in grade school when I acted in Pinocchio, Peter Pan and Hansel & Gretel. What can I say, acting as an evil Gingerbread which was fun!
Looking back now, living in New York was exhilarating, challenging, and artistically inspiring. I grew a lot in those seven years and by the end of 2018 I felt ready to say my goodbyes (for now). I was ready to embark on another new chapter and environment and am currently living in West Hollywood, Ca.
With my creative approach — whether I’m behind the camera or with a paint brush in hand — is to embrace the present and the unforeseen, and to not overthink the process, which allows me to suppress any expectations and push my artistic boundaries.
